FAQ about driving lessons

I am pleased to offer you a driving course with an automatic or manual car.

More and more learner drivers are opting for a driving licence with automatic vehicles. Nevertheless, a licence with a manual gearbox can make sense if, for example, you are provided with a car by your employer or have to change vehicles more frequently.

The training at the driving school is basically the same, both in theory and in practice.

The driving lessons are to be paid in advance either in cash or by bank transfer.

There is no law in Switzerland that prescribes a minimum number of driving hours. Only driving ability is assessed. A driving test is required for this.

Approx. 30 lessons of 45 minutes each. However, you do not necessarily need the same number of driving lessons. Some learner drivers are admitted to the driving test with just 10 hours. Others need a little more. The number of driving lessons is not a question of intelligence. A serious driving instructor only sends his students to the driving test when they have sufficient routine.

If you have the opportunity, you should improve your driving skills privately. Follow these rules.

Approx. 1 hour. Of this, about 45 minutes is pure driving time, which you spend on the road with the expert.

For safety reasons, you may only participate with the driving school’s vehicle.

If you do not pass the practical test, you can retake it after a waiting period. Further information from the Road Traffic Office in the event of a failed test.

Of course not 😉 The traffic experts only assess how you participate in traffic and whether you endanger yourself or others. I’ll prepare you for the driving test so you don’t have to worry.

You must cancel lessons with the driving school at least 72 hours in advance.

In principle, the driving lesson starts at the agreed station. If this is not possible, we can arrange an individual meeting point that suits you.

In Canton Zug and Lucerne.
